1 – Include military service time
Although the period during which the worker completed compulsory military service is not included in the National Social Information Register (CNIS), it counts towards granting the benefit. To include this time, the insured must attach his reservist certificate to the administrative process of applying for retirement.
2 – Take advantage of student-apprentice time
Student-apprentices who studied at a technical school can also add this period to the calculation, provided they have received remuneration, even if indirectly. This possibility is contained in the summary 96 of the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) and in the summary 18 of the National Uniformization Panel (TNU).
3 – Regularize overdue contributions
When you fail to collect your social security contributions for a certain period of time, the optional insured person or individual contributor may delay receiving your pension. To include this time, just pay the overdue amounts, following the specific rules for this type of situation.
4 – Convert special time into common time
The reform brought the possibility of converting special working time into common. This guarantees up to 40% more contribution time for men and up to 20% for women. However, you need to be careful not to end up hurting yourself by not being able to complete the full required period of special time.
