Gas voucher calendar: payment dates have already been announced

The Auxílio Gás program is a Federal Government project created in 2001 whose objective is to help low-income Brazilian families in the purchase of gas from kitchen. Among the eligibility criteria, families must be enrolled in the Single Registry and must have a monthly family income of less than or equal to R$606 per person.

If you are one of the beneficiaries, follow below what the payment dates will be in August.

Check now the specific days on which the payment of the Gas Aid in August will be made:

• NIS nº1: August 9;
• NIS nº2: August 10;
• NIS nº3: August 11;
• NIS #4: August 12th;
• NIS nº5: August 15;
• NIS nº6: August 16;
• NIS nº7: August 17;
• NIS nº8: August 18;
• NIS nº9: August 19;
• NIS nº0: August 22nd.

What will be the amount received?

It depends on the current average price of the kitchen gas cylinder. The value of the gas voucher corresponds to half the average value of the 13 kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder. That way, if the value of the cylinder is R$ 120, for example, the money received in the benefit will be R$ 60.

It is important to point out that, after Constitutional Amendment nº 123 of July 14, 2022, the payment of an extraordinary installment of the benefit, bimonthly and between the period from July 1st to September 31st December 2022. In this way, every two months, families will receive the full value of the 13 kg cylinder.

This should only last as long as it is within the period of validity determined by the constitutional amendment.

Where and how to receive the benefit?

Among the 5.6 million families benefited, most are also beneficiaries of Auxílio Brasil. Therefore, it is possible to receive the benefit on your Brazil Aid card. In addition, to use it, the beneficiary can:

• Withdraw the value in lottery;
• Move the amount received by the CAIXA Tem application;
• Withdraw the benefit at self-service terminals;
• Receive the benefit in digital savings accounts created for payment of Emergency Aid.

Benefit eligibility criteria

The family must be registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico). Just remembering that being registered does not guarantee the family's automatic entry into the gas aid program, as the selection is made every two months and electronically, obeying the priorities defined by the Ministry of Citizenship. To check the status of your benefit, just follow it through the Auxílio Brasil application or at CAIXA Tem. It is also possible to check through the CAIXA Call Center at number 111.

Among the criteria defined by the Ministry of Citizenship, the program in question gives preference to families headed by women who have already been victims of domestic violence.
