3 benefits available from INSS that you may not know about

This benefit is normally requested by women who are insured by the INSS when conceiving a child. However, this assistance can be provided at other times, such as, for example, in cases of adoption or abortion.

In terms of adoption, it is necessary to have a document proving the act. As for abortion, it is required that it be in accordance with the law, including the event of rape, or where the mother's life is at risk. In this sense, the mother needs to show the medical certificate.

Illness aid when having plastic surgery

Under the Constitution, sickness benefit is granted when the individual is unable to perform his or her function. For this reason, when performing a more aggressive plastic surgery, in which rest for more than 15 days is requested, sickness benefit may be requested.

However, some points need to be followed in these cases:

1. Disability proven through reports, consultations and medical information;
2. Have at least 12 contributions to the INSS;
3. Be insured by the INSS.
