The Giro Cookie Contest

- Hey! I have an idea for a new contest! – Giro, the giraffe, announces to his friends in hiding.
They pay attention, curious as to what he must be thinking.
- I will win! I know I will! – exclaims the hippopotamus Horace.
– You don't even know what it's about! - Babi sheep laughs.
– It's simple: The first person to eat six crackers and crumbs in less than a minute wins – explains Giro.

He delivers a small paper plate and six squares of cracker to each friend. Then he picks up the timer.
- Is playing? Too easy! – says Babi.
– Wait and see. It's harder than you think. One, two, three… now! - Spin screams.
Friends start to chew loudly. The first two cookies go down well. But now their mouths are completely dry.
“I can't chew it,” Babi complains, her mouth full.
– I can't swallow! – laughs Horacio, surprised.
Everyone thought it would be pretty easy. But, strangely, it's almost impossible! Only two of them manage to eat five cookies, and the seconds pass.
– Time is almost up! They go! They go! - Shouts Giro.
Horacio stuffs the sixth biscuit into his huge mouth and struggles to chew and swallow. Their eyes bulge and blink with the attempt.
– Time's up! Spin announces.
- I won! I said I would win! – celebrates Horacio. – But I never want to eat another cracker in my life.
