A poor man lived in a village with his only child. The boy went to school, where he learned to read and write. When he was old enough, he began to learn magic. The boy then decided to help his father using the magic he had learned.
One day, his father invited him to help him hunt in the countryside.
“I'll change into a sniffer dog and go with you,” the boy said.
With the help of his son, the man ended up finding a bag with some gold coins and, thus, they managed to clean up their little house.
Later, the boy turned into a horse and took his father to another town to trade. There a great magician saw the horse and liked him.
- You have a very beautiful horse - Said the great wizard. – I would like to buy it.
He made the man a big offer, which he didn't accept because, in fact, the horse was his son.
The next day, the great wizard made an offer that was better than the one on the first day. However, the man did not accept the offer and left with his horse, but the great magician wanted the horse at any cost. So he decided to take the horse using magic.
On the third day, the magician went to the horse and while the man was not watching, he turned the horse into a mouse and took it away in his bag. The boy understood what the great magician was trying to do, so he turned into a thorn.
When the wizard got home, he reached into his bag to retrieve the mouse, but felt the sting of the thorn. Then he turned into a stone to crush the thorn, but the boy was quick and transformed into his original form. He then told his story to the great wizard, who was impressed by the boy's talent and forgave him for all he knew.
And that's how the boy became the master of magic.
