For now, the government has not been favorable to making new rounds of aid possible. Currently, there is only retroactive payment of the benefit, aimed at single parents who are heads of household. In addition, Auxílio Brasil is currently running as a replacement for the extinct Bolsa Família program.
The aid is being paid to single-parent parents, but only to those registered in the Cadastro Único, whose registration was made until July 2, 2020. The contemplated parents are receiving payment through the digital social accounts of the Caixa Tem application.
Renildo Calheiro, PCdoB leader in the Chamber of Deputies, informed that the party's bench will defend the return of Emergency Aid of R$ 600 this year, as it would be a way to move the economy. However, the government continues to say that it can no longer afford the payment of the benefit.
Emergency Aid gave purchasing power to millions of Brazilians and this was very useful to move the economy, which since the beginning of the pandemic has suffered considerably. In this way, the aid benefited several sectors, such as food, pharmacy, health, among others.
The aid was essential for its beneficiaries to overcome the health crisis caused by the new coronavirus in 2020. In this way, the benefit helped to alleviate social inequality and to slightly reduce poverty in Brazil.
However, these positive effects were temporary, since after the end of the program, in October 2021, more than 25 million families are again completely helpless, without any assistance from programs social.
