NAME:
It's talent show night, the whole village is watching the show. It's been a great night!
– Lastly, the hippopotamus Horace! – Mr. Horse announces.
The crowd applauds and cheers. Horacio enters the stage and bows.
– There you go! - he says.
Horacio trained hard for his presentation. He decided to balance Chinese dishes on sticks. He balances one, two, three plates on the sticks, sweating nervously. This is too hard! The crowd goes crazy.
– Go Horacio! Go, Horacio! – they encourage. – Slowly, Horacio – he adds a fourth course and then a fifth.
He suddenly feels like he's going to sneeze.
“Oh no!”, – he thinks – “The plates are all on top”
– Aaah – aaah – aaah… TCHIM! – It explodes.
Every dish shatters on the floor and scatters into a thousand pieces.
– Oooh! – the crowd murmurs. Horacio is paralyzed, then blows his nose, bows and yells “chã-ram!”, as if it were all part of the performance. The crowd applauds again!
– I think we already have a winner, don't we? – Mr. Cavalo announces, and the crowd exclaims in one voice:
- Yea!
Horacio wins the talent show!
