The girl came home scratching her head. She had lice. Every year, at the beginning of classes, the same thing happened. And there was hot vinegar, nit picking, hair washing. And cry. And mother complaining. A real fight. An ordeal. Now it was happening again.
After such a break, her eyes red from crying, the girl went to dry her hair in the sun. A louse, which was all wet, also took advantage of the moment to dry off. And to get some sun. He placed himself at ease, on his back, his front paws supporting his head.
The girl felt a tickling and scratching herself she scratched the louse's belly. He was coquettish and started to laugh. She heard that giggle and didn't find out where it came from. As the laughter picks up soon, it didn't take long for other lice to start laughing.
There was so much laughter that the girl started to giggle. After a while the mother laughed, all the people in the house laughed. Laughter took over the neighborhood, infected the block then invaded the neighborhood, then the city spread throughout the world. Nobody knew why he was laughing but everyone was laughing for real. And the more she laughed, the more she wanted to laugh.
They say that even the sun, up there, had a good laugh.
