The continents are old, but the names are not

The names used to identify the ancient land and sea portions of the planet refer to the continents or regions we know today. Of course, in the past, the Amazon or Siberia, to cite two examples, did not have the shape and size they have today. But to facilitate the association with the ancient continents, scientists tried to name them with the names of the regions where they are found today.
