ruby sea dragon
This species known as ruby sea dragon is considered a fish of the same family as seahorses. It uses its red color (hence the name “ruby”) to camouflage itself from predators. A curiosity about this species is that it is the males that place their young under the tail and not in the belly.
dragon snake
This species (Xenodermus javanicus) is native to Indonesia and Malaysia and is named after its scales. Animals like this can grow up to 60 cm, and females manage to be slightly larger than males. It is a nocturnal animal and feeds mainly on frogs.
bearded dragon
Bearded dragons (genus Pogona) are one of the most popular pets in the world. These lizards have the ability to inflate their throats, forming a spectacular semicircle full of pointed scales. A curiosity is that this part of the animal darkens during mating and moments of stress.
Komodo dragon
This is one of the most classic “dragons” weighing around 135kg and therefore very strong. In addition to its powerful bite, its prey has a very potent venom. It is also important to note that even in their natural habitat, species fight each other. So, unfortunately, the species has been on the verge of extinction since 2021.
flying dragon
This is another lizard found in Southeast Asia and India. One of its characteristics is the ability to camouflage itself well and use a kind of wing glider. These structures, supported by its ribs, allow the lizard to glide through the treetops.
