In addition to flavor and nutrients, food has affection, science and creativity
Eating is a must. After all, through food, we get the nutrients we need to grow healthily, stay smart and save energy to study and play! Besides, it is something very tasty, right?!
Who has not enjoyed that colorful fruit salad, or missed grandma's chocolate cake? (Oops! By the way, a very different question came up here: what will be the difference between our lunch and the animals' “meals”?)
The answer lies in the way we prepare our food. While the animals eat raw foods, which live in nature - such as plants, fruits and other animals, slaughtered through of hunting – human beings prepare food carefully: they plant, harvest, wash, select and, finally, cook.
When caveman discovered fire millions of years ago, he used the flames to heat food. It was then that our ancestors noticed something: cooked, the foods were tastier, as well as easier to cut and chew. They were also free of harmful microorganisms.
