NAME:
A happy little girl once found a four-leaf clover in the schoolyard. She had heard that a four-leaf clover was lucky! So he took the shamrock to his grandfather and asked him to keep it for her in a safe place.
But Grandpa was a practical guy and not superstitious! He tried to convince his granddaughter that there was no such thing as a lucky charm, but she paid no attention!
Over the next week, the little girl did great at school, Mom bought her a brand-new dress, and Dad planned a picnic for her.
She was sure this was all because of her four-leaf clover!
That weekend, Grandpa told him that his four-leaf clover had blown away in the breeze the week before.
– Do you understand now, my dear little girl? All the good things that have happened to you weren't because of that clover. It was all because of your effort!
