NAME:
An old merchant had three children who ran his business. One was an expert in sales, the other handled production well, while the third was a skilled planner. However, as the merchant aged and weakened, the children began to drift apart. Each wanted to run the business.
One day, the merchant became seriously ill.
Upon realizing this, one of the children said:
- Since Dad won't be with us to take care of the business, I suggest we divide it into three equal parts.
The other two agreed with the idea, while the merchant stared at them helplessly.
Soon after the split, the three brothers became competitors. Gradually, each began to face losses, so they went to their father for advice. He tied three sticks together and asked them to break it. None of them made it. Then he untied the rope that joined the sticks together and asked each one to break a stick. The sticks broke easily! The children realized that together, together, they were stronger than apart!
