In this case, 16 models of commemorative coins were made, each worth between 8 and 30 reais, with the exception of the currency for handing over the Olympic flag, which costs between 175 and 300 reais, prices that tend to increase over time. Coin collecting goes beyond the collection itself, but involves historical learning behind the collected items. However, collecting all kinds of coins is too broad and can become too challenging, so limiting a coin type or some “rule” in your collection can help. For example, you can choose to collect a coin for each year of your life, among other possibilities.
When deciding this, take into account the price you can pay for the coins, so as not to create a collection with financially unattainable coins. Doing this, just start buying your coins and also trade with other people who collect. So, try to prioritize items with less wear and tear and that are certified by organizations specializing in coin evaluation.
