According to the institution, the project is a tool to encourage cultural issues in the city of Rio de Janeiro to be addressed, extending as a project to the whole of Brazil. In this edition, the investment reaches R$ 30 million for the audiovisual, literature, music, dance, theater, languages, circus and other sectors.
In an interview with Agência Brasil, Antonio Florencio stated that it is a growing project, just like a child, and that plans for the future are being strengthened. This has been happening since the 1st edition, when the cultural sector was facing difficulties. The project, therefore, is an attempt to resume the popular importance of Brazilian culture after the pandemic period.
For Sesc, this year will be based on three strategic points: connecting the artist with the media cultural events, bridge the gap between the artist and the general public and move the artistic milieu in large scale.
It was in 2021 that the project presented the first edition of the project after the Covid-19 affect the artistic sector. Last year, 3,330 applications were received for the project.
Applications will be open from March 9th to April 6th through the Sesc RJ website. The announcement of the results of the registrations is scheduled for September 29 this year.
