Jaguars' favorite prey depends on where they live. Carnivores, they eat a wide variety of animals, ranging from other mammals to birds, reptiles and fish. They can be small animals, like the agouti, or big ones, like the tapir.
In most environments, the jaguar's diet is formed mainly by terrestrial mammals. However, specifically in the floodplain forests of the Amazon, they basically feed on sloths and alligators!
