The Tijuca National Park will reopen the Pedra Bonita trail to the public tomorrow (24). The visitation can be made from Monday to Friday. On weekends, the place will remain closed. The trail, which opened on July 9th, had to be closed on August 1st.
The closure took place because part of the visitors insisted on not complying with the current temporary visitation rules. The rules include, for example, the mandatory use of a mask during the trail, the disposal of garbage outside the Park, the time visitation limit (from 8 am to 5 pm) and respect for groups of a maximum of 10 people, with a distance of 2 meters between each one.
The monitored ________ reopening and people's behavior will help in the future decision to reopen the trail also on weekends. In 2019, around 160,000 visitors took the Pedra Bonita trail, which is among the most sought after in the park.
