Start the lesson by talking about why we get sick at certain times of the year but not all year round, and also why some people get sick more often than others.
Talk with students about all the microorganisms that exist in the air we breathe. Stimulate a discussion with the students about what are the mechanisms that our body uses to defend itself, and read the text Immune system.
Clarify the concepts of antigens It is antibodies, and talk about some common illnesses like flu, seeking to understand how our body reacts to the entry of virus.
Explain to students how the vaccines work, show their importance for eradicating many diseases through immunization.
Return to the concepts seen in class: antibody, antigen, lymphocyte, macrophage, vaccines.
