THE. equity looks for loopholes in the law to more fairly supplement without. harm any types of individuals.
Equity is a rereading of the law, in a way that doesn't cause. problems with society, but respecting the individuality of each person. THE. equity makes the law fairer, so it doesn't harm anyone in the middle. of the process.
Early Plato and Aristotle left studies. relating to equity. As true works, his writings led to. thinking of equal rights, judgment by equity.
From the beginning, equity refers to the disposition of. recognize each one's right equally. In the case of Aristotle, he. defined equity as “a mitigation of the law written by circumstances that. they occur in relation to people, things, place or times”.
According to him, there is a big difference between justice and a. equity. In the case of justice, the law is rigid, black and white. Equity helps. the magistrate to be malleable, without evading the rules of the law, but observing. ways to adapt the legal norms to each situation, so that there is not. injustices.
Equity, therefore, refers to the attenuation of a text, where it is read in a more progressive way, according to the advancement of society. O. Law uses a lot of equity to establish individual concepts without passing. over laws or principles, only making them fairer.
According to the Priberam dictionary, the literal meaning of. equity is:
Equity is one of the fundamental principles for the System. Public Health, as it preaches that anyone has the right to care e. enjoyment of the systems available by the government. In the case of equity, this one. word refers not only to the rights a patient has, but also if. refers to the fact that each region needs a different type of approach e. necessity.
This principle can be defined as the concept of equality. and justice. A clear example of this is that patients who need it most are. offered more resources, those who need less have less access to resources. that moment. This must be measured through a screening, in which the. individual needs are taken into account and analyzed.
Differences in health and living conditions are as well. analyzed in this process, considering that the right to health passes through. different social strata and the Unified Health System must attend to this. diversity.
Public hospitals have adapted to this concept. incorporating a risk classification system, where the patient is analyzed. according to the seriousness of the problem, the urgency and the order of arrival. Usually the patient wears a bracelet with a certain color, which reveals his own. urgency and need for care.
Thinking about the concept of equity, a patient is a victim of. accident, for example, even though you didn't get to the hospital first, you will. priority care, depending on your health status and severity of. accident. In this case equity is made in the sense that the law says that the. patient X is ahead in order of arrival, but because it is one more case. severe, patient Y will pass in front of him.
In the case of public health, the principles that guide equity. also prevail. Priority groups are catered for by recognizing the. needs of each region of the country and according to population groups. THE. equity in health policies takes into account the populations of rural areas, gypsies, blacks, homeless people, the physically handicapped and other groups. priority.
The Roman Law had as its main characteristic. rigidity in applying the law. Furthermore, Roman laws demonstrated:
Furthermore, Roman laws did not reach the entire population, leaving some outside and excluded from society, from which they could not resort. the Justice.
Later, however, the picture changed when Greece invaded. Rome and there was a fusion of the laws of both. With the introduction of Written Law, Greece introduced in Rome the principle of equity, which made Roman laws. less rigid and formal.
The study “Excellence with equity” was developed with. support from Jornal da Globo in 2012 in partnership with the Lemann Foundation. THE. The research had as main objective to identify common customs of schools. for students who achieved good performances in the exam. Brazil.
This study was born from a project of a series of reports. called “Class of Excellence in Poverty” and investigated common aspects of. schools where these students were successful in the tests. Those young people, though. had low socioeconomic status, achieved good grades and the study sought. identify what schools did differently for students, even at. public schools, were successful.
Although the words seem to be the same, the meaning of the two. are totally different. Both words refer to the Law. But while. equity refers to equality in justice and dampening of rules, a. iniquity refers to the transgression of the laws. Generally this is iniquity. related to serious transgression or sin.
In religion, the term iniquity is often used. to describe an individual who commits grave injustice, who treats individuals from. unequally and transgresses the rules of moral and civil ethics.
