Withdrawal-birthday: see if you are entitled to the FGTS benefit

In March, Caixa Econômica Federal began yet another stage of release of the anniversary withdrawal alluding to the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS). This benefit allows workers to withdraw part of the FGTS available according to the month of their birth.

However, this withdrawal is not mandatory. Thus, each individual can decide whether or not to join the modality. The worker will have access to the value through internet banking, the official FGTS website or app, as well as in person at Caixa branches.

How to know the value of the birthday withdrawal?

The amount may vary according to the citizen's account balance and, in some cases, an extra portion may be added to the withdrawal. With this, Caixa offers a simulation that uses the table below as a reference. Check, then, the information by balance range:

• Up to BRL 500, the withdrawal percentage will be 50% and the additional installment null;
• From R$500.01 to R$1,000, the withdrawal percentage will be 40% and the additional installment R$50;
• From BRL 1000.01 to BRL 5,000, the withdrawal percentage will be 30% and the additional installment BRL 150;
• From R$5000.01 to R$10,000, the withdrawal percentage will be 20% and the additional installment R$650;
• From R$10,000.01 to R$15,000, the withdrawal percentage will be 15% and the additional installment R$1,150;
• From R$15,000.01 to R$20,000, the withdrawal percentage will be 10% and the additional installment R$1,900;
• Above BRL 20,000.01, the withdrawal percentage will be 5% and the additional installment BRL 2,900;

• January — January 3rd to March 31st;
• February — February 1st to April 29th;
• March — March 1st to May 31st;
• April — April 1st to June 30th;
• May — May 2nd to July 29th;
• June — June 1st to August 31st;
• July — July 1st to September 30th;
• August — August 1st to October 31st;
• September — September 1st to November 30th;
• October — October 3rd to December 30th;
• November — November 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023;
• December — December 1, 2022 to February 28, 2023.
