Alagoas is suffering from an increased volume of rainfall this year. As a result, more than R$ 7.7 million were allocated to displaced and homeless families in the state. Resources for payment of the benefit come from the State Fund for Combating and Eradicating Poverty (Fecoep).
Each family registered in the Aid will receive a total of four installments worth R$ 500 each, totaling R$ 2 thousand, referring to the months of June, July, August and September. The first installment was paid to around 9,128 families, and the second installment has already been deposited for 6,414 of them.
In addition to the Rain-Aid, the state of Alagoas distributed 55,000 basic food baskets to families made homeless by heavy rains. In the city of Maceió alone, 4,500 baskets have already been delivered in the period between July 14th and 15th.
As we mentioned earlier, the aid is intended for families homeless or displaced because of the rains in municipalities that have declared an emergency situation. The registration of beneficiaries is the responsibility of the city halls and needs recognition from the Civil Defense or Social Assistance of the respective cities.
For this, a responsible person must inform all the family's data along with the supporting documents. Required: RG and CPF of all family members, name of mother or family responsible, address, telephone number, number of family members and Social Identification Number (NIS).
