The Korean dystopian show, Round 6, has proven to be immensely popular with audiences worldwide, bringing in nearly a billion for the streamer with 130 million viewers, according to Bloomberg.
Of course, Netflix couldn't turn down such a promising cash cow: in an interview with the Associated Press, series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk revealed that the show would indeed return with more stories.

The series creator said:
“So there has been so much pressure and so much demand and so much love for a second season. So I almost feel like you guys left us no choice! But I will say that there really will be a second season. It's in my head now. I'm in the planning process right now. But I think it's too early to say when and how that will happen.”
He continues, "Gi-hun will come back and do something for the world." That's quite a promise, even though it was heavily teased at the end of the first season.
Also, Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) is the one we're really desperate to know more about. And as for Jun-ho, who was shot in the shoulder and thrown off a cliff, apparently – apparently! – until his death?
Usually, if you don't see a dead body, it's a door being deliberately left open. But maybe that's just wishful thinking, given how cool Wi Ha-joon is: who would want another Round 6 series without him and his abundant charisma?
You can watch the clip of the interview below. In any case, we hope to hear more about the next season of Squid Game soon. In the meantime, you can catch the first season on Netflix.
