O Whatsapp is the most used messaging application in the world, with very efficient features that make the daily lives of its users a lot easier. One of the most impressive features is the possibility of simultaneously connecting the same account on a smartphone and on a computer.

Use the same WhatsApp account on two different phones at the same time

Currently, WhatsApp does not officially allow an account to be accessed simultaneously on two smartphones. However, there is a very simple way to circumvent this "restriction" on devices that have the operating system android.

For this to be possible, you will need to have a primary and secondary device and enable developer mode on the device.

Enabling developer options

To enable developer options, follow these steps:

  • Go to “Settings”;
  • Select the “About phone” option;
  • Click on “System/Software Information”;
  • Then, press “Build Number” multiple times.

Configuring the secondary device

Now with the device's developer mode enabled, it's time to configure the secondary device. To do so, just follow the path:

  • Open the settings;
  • Click on “Developer Options”;
  • Edit the minimum width to 600;
  • Install and open WhatsApp;
  • Accept the terms;
  • Leave the QR Code on the screen.

It is important to remember that it is essential to keep in mind the original value of the minimum width, since it will be necessary to return to the default value to use the application in the best possible way.

main device

With the secondary device properly configured, the main device must allow the connection by reading the QR Code. For that, just:

  • Open WhatsApp;
  • Go to the options menu in the upper right corner (three dots);
  • Click on “Linked devices”;
  • Scan the QR Code of your secondary device.

last steps

Finally, the secondary device's default scale can be restored by replacing the current minimum width value (600) with what it was before. Ready! Your devices now have access to the same account without any problems.
