1st – Shire

They are recognized as the largest horses in the world, and since Medieval times, humans have taken advantage of their strength and size for transportation, being widely used by English knights. This breed is very docile and easy to handle. In addition, its legs are resistant and allow the animal to ride for longer periods and on irregular terrain.

2nd – Clydesdales

It is a breed from Scotland and very similar to the Shire, but has longer legs. These horses have a powerful strength, which characterizes them as draft animals, and are used to transport people and loads. They reach an average of 1.7 m in height and are known for their active and balanced temperament, therefore being easy animals to live with.

3rd – Percheron

This typical draft horse breed originates from the Commune of Perche in France. They are animals of robust appearance, strong musculature and smooth hair. The average height of Percherons is 1.66m and they normally reach 900kg. They are docile, but active, and are currently competition animals, widely used by circuses and in commemorative parades.
