Daniel

This is probably the most common boy's name with the letter 'D', and it's no coincidence, as it's a name with a beautiful meaning. It is a biblical name, which is even the same as one of the Old Testament books, in reference to the Prophet Daniel, and its meaning is “God is my judge” or “The Lord is my judge”. From Daniel comes Danilo.

david or david

Here we have another beautiful biblical name of another Old Testament character, this time the great King David, or David. In this case, this name means “dear” or “beloved”, which makes reference to the narrative of the Bible, since David was the dearest son of his father Jesse, and also a great friend of God.

diego

Already Diego is a beautiful name and full of mysteries, since it is not known for sure what its origin is, being more likely that it has a Spanish root in the name Santiago. As to the meaning, it is “He who teaches” or “Counselor”. Other variations of this name are “Diogo” and “Tiego”.

douglas

Finally, we have the name Douglas, which is also quite popular in Brazil, although its origin goes back to the Scottish tradition. This name means “Black Waters” or “Dark River”, more like a reference to a location, but that certainly gives a lot of depth to the name.
