See who is entitled to Inclusion Aid

Created by the Federal Government, the Inclusion Aid is distributed by the Ministry of Citizenship and is intended for Brazilians who have a disability and are (or have been for at least 5 years) part of the Continuous Provision Benefit (BPC).

Through it, the state seeks to encourage the financial independence of beneficiaries. However, recently there have been some changes, which have raised doubts about who is entitled to Inclusion Aid.

How does Inclusion Aid work?

Arranged in Ordinance Dirben/INSS N 949, of November 18, 2021, the benefit provides for more autonomy for people with disabilities. For this, it offers a payment of half the minimum wage to beneficiaries, which currently corresponds to the amount of R$ 606.00. In this way, people with some type of disability are encouraged to find paid activities without losing income.

Who is entitled to the benefit?

Any citizen who received the BPC in the last 5 years is entitled to the Inclusion Aid. However, it is also required that informal activities have been the main source of income during that same period, with an income lower than or equal to at least two minimum wages.

In addition, the following requirements must be met:

  • Have a medical report proving the disability;
  • Have an up-to-date enrollment in CadÚnico (Cadastro Único);
  • Have a monthly income of up to two minimum wages per person;
  • Be registered in the General Social Security Regime (RGPS) or linked to social security;
  • Not having the name in credit protection bodies.

If you meet these requirements, just ask for help through the Meu INSS website or app. It is also possible to request through the call center 135, with service available from Monday to Saturday.

To make the request through the app, available for Android and iOS, just log in to platform, search for the “new request” option and type the name of the service or benefit you want order. Then, select the “service” or “benefit” option and fill in your details. After following these steps, your profile will undergo an analysis that can be followed in the “Check Orders” section.
