Gas cylinder will be readjusted from this month; check the value in your state!

Anyone who needed to buy a new gas cylinder in the first week of May has already noticed the change in value. Consequently, it is not a value anymore. Since last Monday, the 1st, the collection of the Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS) came into effect and was unified for all states in Brazil.

The increase in gas cylinders, on average, was considered to be 11.9% by specialists. The value corresponds to R$ 14.60 for the 13 kg cylinder, on average. The value can be readjusted to R$ 16.34 still in the month of May. In all, 21 states considered the readjustment.

Despite the unified value, some states remained stable, others represented a decrease and others increased the value. Previous information indicated that each state will be responsible for stipulating the ICMS rates, but now the amount will be fixed for all these locations. For each kilogram of the cylinder, the value will be R$ 1.2571, increasing the values ​​for most states.

The federative units that were most affected were Mato Grosso do Sul, with the readjustment of 84.5% under the old value. In Espírito Santo and Ceará the values ​​were maintained as they were previously, they did not suffer from the rate readjustment. In Rio Grande do Norte, Acre, Santa Catarina and Minas Gerais the values ​​represented a decrease.
