It is already a known fact that we human beings have five senses, essential for our survival. Our senses are: smell, hearing, sight, taste and touch. Currently, we have some specialists who try to demonstrate that we have more than these senses, but there is still nothing proven.
We may even have other senses in addition to the five known ones, but the reality is that animals have others that the human race will probably never have. The reason for this difference is exactly the need to acquire these senses for survival.

Some animals are able to produce electricity from their own bodies, others are able to perceive carbon dioxide, among other senses that we will mention now. Check out four senses that animals have and we don't:
Some species of fish and sharks have the ability to produce an electric field around their bodies. Animals that have this characteristic use it to navigate in dark parts of the oceans, to perceive the existence of electric current in the water and to attack prey.
Another very peculiar sense is to use the Earth's magnetic field as a guide, and some animals that have it use it to return to the place where they were born, for example. The animals that have this kind of natural compass are sea turtles, bees, migratory birds and even sharks.
Some animals are endowed with infrared vision, which allows them to see at night. This sense is commonly found in predatory animals, enabling them to identify warm-blooded prey even in the dark.
Finally, the sense of detecting carbon dioxide can be found in mosquitoes, which, with their sensors, are able to perceive the presence of CO2 within a radius of up to 30 meters. This makes it possible for mosquitoes to find their victims, just by following the carbon dioxide.
