The novelty came from the e-CNHsp system. In this way, students who are going to take the tests must obligatorily authenticate two biometrics, both digital and facial. As for the moment of validation, it will be at the opening and also at the conclusion of the theoretical exam or refresher course.
It should be noted that, until now, authentication worked as follows: Only digital biometrics were required, while face biometry was only required in situations where there was no recognition through the first method.
According to the director-president of Detran SP, Neto Mascellani, the objective of the novelty is to make the qualification process safer for all involved. He also stated that this is an important tool against possible irregularities in the course of obtaining the document.
The DMV SP has already informed partners, such as doctors and instructors, about the obligation. The body also reinforced the importance of informing citizens in advance about the need to authentication by digital biometrics, especially for suspended driver recycling exams or preventive punctuation.
On the other hand, in other cases, candidates who have a digital exception can request it in the period prior to carrying out this step in order to undergo the medical and psychotechnical examinations. If it is necessary to request the digital exception, the student or driver must attend one of the Detran SP units integrated with Poupatempo or Ciretran (for municipalities that do not have Saves time). Therefore, it will only be possible to schedule the exam after the request has been approved.
On February 14th, the Driver Training Centers received the notice and are aware of the new form of authentication. Therefore, they will already start to implement the new system and demand both biometrics.
