Basically, the purpose of the benefit is to reach micro-entrepreneurs by offering credit to individuals and companies. In this way, the government intends to warm up the market and encourage the creation of small businesses.
For this, in the case of an individual, the whole process can be done in a very simple way. Just download the Caixa Tem app, available for iOS and Android users. Therefore, it is not necessary to go to an agency, but keep your registration data updated in the Caixa Econômica Federal system.
However, in the case of a legal entity, obtaining credit is a little more complex. The first rule is to have at least 12 months of billing as a MEI, with an annual income of less than BRL 81,000. In addition, to withdraw the benefit, the person must go to a bank branch and have some documents in hand, such as proof of residence, identity card and company data.
The credit can be redeemed in amounts ranging from R$300 to R$1,000 for individuals. With interest rates starting at 1.95% per month and a repayment period of up to 24 months.
As for legal entities, the value of credits can triple. With loans starting at R$1,500, entrepreneurs can get up to R$3,000, with interest rates starting at 1.99% per month and installments of 18 to 24 months.
