Pumpkin seeds have several benefits and can be consumed in a variety of ways. In addition to preventing premature aging and having an anti-inflammatory action, they also have an anthelmintic action, or that is, the regular consumption of pumpkin seeds is able to fight disease-causing worms in humans and animals.

Furthermore, it is important to remember that their consumption should be done after drying and roasting them, because when raw, the seeds can cause problems in the digestive tract and even poisoning. So, pay close attention!

That said, you can prepare them at home, either in a conventional oven or in a frying pan. They are great toppings for salads, soups and broths or can even be consumed as a more nutritious snack.

Learning how to prepare pumpkin seed

For this recipe, you will need a pumpkin, olive oil and seasonings of your choice. First of all, cut the pumpkin in half and remove all the seeds with the help of a spoon. Done that, put them in a sieve and wash in running water. Remove the remains of pulp that may have stuck to the seeds and drain all the water.

Right after that, place the seeds on top of an absorbent cloth or paper towel and let them dry for at least 24 hours.

After this step, separate a mold and line it with a sheet of parchment paper. Then scatter the seeds around the container. Now just take it to the oven at medium temperature until they are golden. If necessary, you can stir the seeds to ensure they are completely browned.

Another practical way to prepare the recipe is by roasting it in a frying pan. For this, just take the pan to the low fire and wait to warm up. Finally, with the skillet hot, place the seeds and wait until they are golden, which can take about 10 minutes. Remember to stir occasionally to ensure they brown evenly. Once this is done, your seeds are ready for consumption in any way you like.
