“Similar investigations are being conducted by antitrust authorities in other jurisdictions,” Cade said in a note.
Valor Econômico reported that Apple came to its defense, pointing out that Cade and Mercado Livre so far have not implemented practices that go against competition.
In a statement, Apple lawyers reported that, of the entire market, 20% are from the North American brand:
“They only function to cover up a private dispute against Apple with the objective of obtaining private benefits”, he informed.
