Auxílio Brasil is an income transfer program of the Brazilian Federal Government and came into force after the extinction of the old Bolsa Família program, which benefited millions of Brazilians over the 18 years it was in current.
Until December 2021, the benefit was being paid to approximately 14.5 million families that were already registered with Bolsa Família. However, from this month onwards, another 2.7 million families registered in CadÚnico will also receive the aid.
Thus, throughout the year 2022, the period in which the Auxílio Brasil must be paid, more than 17 million people should receive installments in the average amount of R$ 400 per month. According to the Ministry of Citizenship, monthly payments will be available for withdrawal for 120 days from the date of deposit.
See the benefit payment schedule below.
The query of payment dates for each month can be done in the Auxílio Brasil application, available for Android and IOS. This month, deposits will be made from the 18th, next Tuesday, for beneficiaries with NIS ending in 1, and continue until the 31st for those with NIS ending in 0.
Payment is made through Caixa Econômica Federal. Thus, those who already have an account at this bank will receive the January installment in the same account and will be able to withdraw the amount at any branch of the institution.
In the case of people who do not have a Caixa account, a digital social savings account will be opened automatically. To withdraw, just go to a Caixa agency and present your identity document on the correct payment day.
In addition, those who received Bolsa Família can use the program's card to access the payment of Auxílio Brasil at Caixa branches or at lottery outlets. Finally, there is also the option to make transfers through the Caixa Tem application.
In case of doubts regarding the Auxílio Brasil, the government provides three channels for assistance: telephone 121, which is from the Ministry of Citizenship; 111, from Caixa Econômica Federal, and the Auxílio Brasil application.
