According to the Minister of Citizenship, João Roma, in a statement given to the program A Voz do Brasil last Monday (07), more than R$ 90 billion should be injected into the economy during 2022 thanks to the Auxílio Brasil program, which has already started to be paid out.
In this sense, more than 17 million families will benefit from this investment in the economy, which will be especially important to support people in situations of social vulnerability. In addition, it is also a way to warm up the market, in order to generate employment and income for several workers.
According to the minister, the Brazilian government will also pay retroactive emergency aid to male heads of families. This is due to the fact that, initially, this benefit was granted only to single mothers. However, the National Congress approved the release for men at the end of 2021.
Another aspect commented on by João Roma was in relation to the social tariff for electricity, which is also related to the Auxílio Brasil. In this way, more than 24 million families will be able to count on the discount on the energy bill, which will appear on the invoice.
Furthermore, in case of doubts about the social rate and how to guarantee the discount, just look for a unit at the Centro de Social Assistance Reference (CRAS), which is the place to clarify everything that is necessary to ensure the benefit.
As for the heavy rains that hit several cities in the states of the Northeast and Southeast of the country, mainly in Bahia and Minas Gerias, Rome stated that the Ministry of Citizenship is making efforts in order to provide assistance to families affected by the temporal.
Still in relation to the rains, some measures have already been taken to help the residents of the affected areas, such as the release of the emergency withdrawal of the PIS/Pasep salary bonus and also the FGTS.
