Brazil is a tropical country, that is, very sunny, especially in some regions. The northeast may be one of the hottest regions in Brazil. Thinking about the time of summer, we selected some activities about the seasons for early childhood education. Even though it's a predominantly hot country, we go through all seasons like anywhere else in the world. Enjoy each one of them!
First, work with questions about the seasons. For example: What is the origin of the four seasons of the year? Why do they form? What is the impact of seasons on human history?
These are just a few questions that relate to the seasons with each of the students. Therefore, we selected some tips to answer another question: how to work the seasons of the year in early childhood education?
Above, we give an example of a panel with images about the seasons. This can be a fun idea to work with your students.
The spring
What day does spring begin?
Spring starts on September 23rd and ends on December 21st.
It's the flower season and you can work this season with different activities for children's education.
The summer
When does summer start?
Summer starts from December 21st and extends until March 21st.
It's the hottest season of the year.
Encourage outdoor activities, such as the soap bubbles we've already shown here. Pay attention to the hottest times of the day and avoid outdoor activities at these times. Prefer early morning and after 3 pm, as the sun will be less intense.
The fall
When does autumn start?
Autumn starts on March 21st and runs until June 21st.
This season of the year, in countries where the seasons are well defined, is marked by the transformation of nature, preparing for winter. The leaves on the trees initially turn red, and then slowly fall off. Many trees are left without any leaves, re-growing in early spring.
The winter
What is the start date of winter?
Winter starts on June 21st and ends on September 23rd. It is the coldest season of the year, as a result of the lower incidence of sunlight on the earth's surface.
