Founded in the midst of the pandemic, in 2020, as a way to help small businesses in a timely manner, Pronampe won its permanent place. However, there was no information on budgets or release dates for the features. It is known that its financing depends completely on the resources listed by the Union and bank operations.
The current proposal had been approved by the Chamber in mid-April, and was finally sanctioned by President Jair Bolsonaro. The use of the available resources will grant the program a credit that will remain until December 31, 2024. In the government's analysis, microenterprises manage to generate many jobs, and therefore deserve to have access to resources for an extended period.
In addition, the new rules include the inclusion of Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEIs) and companies with annual revenues of up to BRL 300 million, companies that had not had the chance to participate in the previous version.
It is estimated that more than 20 million micro and small businesses are reached in the country with the program. It will enable the participation of several companies with an annual revenue of up to R$ 360 thousand and small companies that have an annual income of more than R$ 360 thousand and similar to or less than R$ 4.8 millions.
Therefore, Pronampe grants the chance for several entrepreneurs to opt for a much more flexible line of credit, with mild interest rates, when compared to the current market.
According to Daniella Marques, special secretary for Productivity and Competitiveness at the Ministry of Economy, the new phase of the program will have a major impact on the country's economy. Not to mention that credit lines will help protect jobs and incomes.
