A provisional measure sanctioned by the current president, Jair Bolsonaro, grants authorization for the so-called payroll loan for beneficiaries of the Brazil Aid. However, the question that remains is: what would be the minimum amount to be made available for the payroll loan?

As for the payroll loan in the conventional way known today, each bank or financial institution responsible has a stipulated minimum amount that can be contracted. Basically, this value is around R$ 500.00, not more than that. In the case of Auxílio Brasil, there is a maximum amount that can be released according to the law, which we call the payroll loan ceiling.
Thus, the amount stipulated as a ceiling is around 40% of the monthly amount received by the beneficiaries of the Brazil Aid. According to information from the Federal Government, the amount being considered is the old one, R$ 400.00, and not the current value, R$ 600.00, which expires in December of this year. Because of this, the maximum amount of the payroll loan available to those who receive the Brazil Aid would be around, at most, R$ 160.00.
To finalize the topic, regarding the interest rate, the law does not determine a limit for the collection by each of the banks that adhere to this portfolio. Therefore, it is possible for institutions to establish the value as they wish. The payment of the loan is made directly with the discounts on the benefit installments. Because of this, it is necessary to evaluate well before hiring and see if it is worth committing part of the loan amount.
