One morning on vacation, the boy was playing in the stream on his grandfather's farm, when he saw a different rock. He picked up the stone and was surprised to realize that it was a small animal, a turtle.
The boy had never seen a turtle. He placed the animal on the ground. She, frightened, cringed. He put his head on the carapace and went inert.
The boy did not conform! He started to move the little animal, nudging it, hitting its hoof.
The grandfather, who was looking for the boy for lunch, saw the scene and called his grandson's attention:
– We do not mistreat the animals here on the farm! Stop it now!
'I wasn't mistreating you,' grumbled the boy, 'I just want her to stick her head out.
– Oh, is that it? But like that, she will never stick her head out!
He picked up the animal and took it to a place that was sunny and they were very quiet watching.
The sun burned, burned... And when it got really hot, the turtle stuck its head out!
– See, my son? We don't need violence to achieve our goals. It was the heat of the sun that overcame her.
The boy listened attentively to his grandfather:
– We have a lot in common with turtles. Mainly you children. It is necessary to deal with skill, patience.
The heat of our words, our actions should warm people's hearts and make them act, as happened with the turtle, showing itself to others.
