The little snail felt very unhappy. He saw that almost all animals were more agile than he was. Some played, others jumped. And he was annoyed under the weight of his carapace!
— You see that my destiny is to go slowly, suffering all the ills! he was saying, quite frustrated.
His friends and family tried to comfort him, but they couldn't.
— Caracolino, think that if Nature gave you that carapace, it was for something. said the turtle, who was in a situation similar to his.
— Yes, of course, for something it will be! Can you explain the reason? asked Caracolino, even more upset at receiving so much advice.
Caracolino became so unbearable by his complaints that everyone abandoned him. And he still had his carapace on his back, getting heavier and heavier for his liking.
One day, a storm broke. It rained for many days. It felt like a deluge! The waters rose, flooding everything. Many of the little animals he had envied were now in great difficulty. Caracolino, however, found a safe haven. Inside its carapace it was fully protected!
Since then, he has understood the usefulness of its slow, heavy carapace. He stopped protesting, becoming a nice little animal and loved by everyone.
