Galapagos is a group of islands that are located about a thousand kilometers from the beaches of South America. But they are not on this side of Brazil, in the Atlantic Ocean. They are on the other side of the continent, on the Pacific Ocean, and are part of the equator (the country, not the line). The name means Turtle Islands. So you can imagine how many turtles live there.
But it's not just turtles. They are birds, ______________, mammals, fish… It is a great biodiversity, that is, many different living beings in the same place.
