A member of SIM Digital, also known as microcredit, the benefit is aimed at individuals and Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEIs) and makes up the Digital Microcredit Simplification Program for Entrepreneurs. Launched as one of the initiatives of the Income and Opportunity Program, prepared by the Federal Government, SIM Digital operates in two operations:

• Individuals: in this modality, the credit can be from R$ 300 to R$ 1 thousand. The interest rate will range from 1.95% to 3.60% per month, with installments from 12 to 24 months possible. Even negative citizens will be able to access the program loan, but there is a limit for the debts;
• Legal entities: in this modality, the beneficiaries are the MEIs. For them, the loan ranges from R$ 1,000 to R$ 3,000, with interest rates ranging from 1.99% to 3.60% per month, and can be paid in installments from 18 to 24 months.

How to apply for credit?

For individuals, microcredit will be offered by cell phone, through the Caixa Tem application. Once requested, the analysis of the request can be done in up to one week. As for MEIs, the contracting of credit must be done through Caixa agencies.

In these cases, the applicant must present proof of residence, as well as personal and company documents, have a Caixa account, with more than 12 months of invoicing in this modality. Another possible way for MEIs is through from this link, which must be filled in with personal data so that Caixa itself can contact you.

The government's expectation is that approximately 4.5 million entrepreneurs will benefit.
