With the arrival of the beginning of the 2023 school year, it is important to review the highlights in the field of education in our country. One of these highlights is public education in the state of Paraná, which, in the Education Development Index Básica (Ideb), ranked first in all of Brazil in terms of secondary education provided by the network state.

Among the measures taken by the Government of Paraná in conjunction with the Department of Education is a platform that provides continuing education (Formadores em Ação), as well as the supply of support material, with the plans of all the classes that will be taught by the teachers in the course of the year.
Another important point was the quick response during the pandemic, adapting to remote teaching. In addition, last year, education professionals had a demonstration of appreciation by the Government of Paraná, which carried out an average readjustment of the remuneration of these professionals by 20%.
The Secretary of Education, Roni Miranda, spoke about the podium conquered by the secondary public education network, saying: “In addition to the first place in IDEB, we started the year with the news that almost 40% of those approved in the UFPR entrance exam, one of the most competitive in Brazil, had training in the state network, which shows the level of excellence that we reached. We are planning structural and methodological investments and the objective is to grow even more and consolidate Paraná at the top”.
