New CNH: Check out what changes in the new model in 2022!

The National Driver's License, known as CNH, will undergo some changes this year 2022. Among the changes, the document will have a new design, in addition to listing more information in the document.

In addition, the new driving license model will have changes in its color and the already existing information contained will be organized in another way. There will be the insertion of new data such as: the nationality of the driver, medical restrictions and the category of vehicles that the holder of the CNH is authorized to drive.

The changes will come into force from June 2022, however, it is worth remembering that the old version of the document will remain valid. This is because the exchange for the new version will be gradual, as the driver needs to renew or request a duplicate CNH.

Changes to the new driving license

These changes are intended to bring the Brazilian driver's license closer to international standards. However, in addition to containing more information about the driver, the new model establishes defense mechanisms against possible forgeries. See what changes:

• New colors, the document will now have shades of green and yellow;
• The signature will be just below the holder's photo;
• CNH will inform the nationality of the driver;
• There will be identification with foreign languages;
• The document will indicate which vehicle categories the driver is authorized to drive;
• In the CNH there will be a letter that will indicate the character of the document, being “P” for temporary and “D” for definitive;
• The document can be digital or printed, both are valid, so it will be up to the driver to decide;
• Some items will only be visible under ultraviolet light, in order to prove the officiality of the document.

Finally, it is worth noting that information such as photo, name, affiliation and date of birth of the driver will remain on the front of the document and the QR code will be kept on the back.
