There is R$ 1.4 billion available for movement of overdue amounts by the INSS

This August, approximately R$ 1.4 billion will be released in Small Value Requests (RPVs), which concern policyholders of the INSS who managed to win lawsuits against the institute itself.

The action that gives the right to an RPV must be completed, and the payment defined by the court must have a maximum amount of arrears of 60 minimum wages (approximately R$ 72,720). This amount had its release granted last Monday, August 22nd. The decision came from the Federal Justice Council, which also informed through a note that they will be responsibility of the Federal Regional Courts the limits to be able to make the payments of the RPVs.

Around 93,241 people will be awarded the amounts that came from 72,751 lawsuits filed in July this year. These relate to reviews of retirement benefits, sick pay, pensions and a few other types of social security benefits.

In June, the Federal Justice Council released around R$ 1.5 billion in amounts arrears, which had their payments made to the Federal Regional Courts, based on the month of May.

During this consultation, in principle, the number of the case, name of the lawyer who is representing you and also the RPV number, not to mention the other data that vary according to the situation.

• TRF 1st Region, which has its headquarters in the Federal District and reports to the Federal District, MG, GO, TO, MT, BA, PI, MA, PA, AM, AC, RR, RO and AP;

Social Security/Assistance: BRL 592,375,236.42, referring to 29,640 processes, with 34,774 beneficiaries;

• TRF of the 2nd Region, headquartered in RJ with influence in RJ and ES.

Social Security/Assistance: BRL 95,725,548.90, with approximately 4,838 processes and 6,313 beneficiaries;

• TRF of the 4th Region, which has its headquarters in RS, with jurisdiction in RS, PR and SC;

Social Security/Assistance: BRL 327,111,283.33, with more than 18 thousand processes, with 24,086 beneficiaries.
