QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a company that analyzes higher education from universities around the world, ranked 41 courses at the University of São Paulo (USP) among the top 100 in the world in its ranking International. As much as it dropped two positions compared to last year, the Dentistry course continues as the best evaluated USP in the list, occupying the 15th position.
Training in Dentistry is also a reference in two other Brazilian universities, which are among the 50 best: the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), in 32nd place, and the State University of São Paulo (Unesp), occupying the 36th.
In addition, the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul also earned its place in the top 100 international ranking for the course for the first time in 2022.
This year's edition of QS's global university performance rankings provides important data on the performance of 313 programs at 32 universities in Brazil. As shown in the survey, 32% of Brazilian courses fell in the ranking compared to last year. However, 23% showed improvements in their positions.
The largest representativeness that Brazil has is the training of Medicine, with 21 universities in the country occupying several places in the global ranking.
The list, compiled by international higher education analysts, provides comparative analysis on the execution of 15,200 academic programs, made available to students in 1,543 university centers, to be found in 88 locations worldwide, in 51 disciplines and in five areas of the knowledge. Such analyzes form part of the annual QS World University Rankings portfolio.
