On May 9, the Federal Justice Council released 1.3 billion throughout Brazil to settle labor and social security debts. In this way, through the review of retirement, pensions and some social benefits values, more than 89,707 people should benefit.
In addition, in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo alone, the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) will distribute almost R$ 120 million in arrears. In the Federal Regional Court of the 2nd region, which covers these two federative units, there were more than 5,833 cases, benefiting 7,605 people. The amounts were deposited in April and became available for withdrawal on the fifth working day of May.
In addition, the CJF also released resources to the other federal courts in Brazil, which will be transferred to their respective states. However, each of these courts will be responsible for establishing its own payment schedule, which must be made into accounts at Banco do Brasil or Caixa Econômica Federal.
Payment of these amounts is made through Small Value Requisitions (RPV), which are limited to the ceiling of R$ 72,720, which corresponds to 60 minimum wages. Thus, the resources are deposited in selected banks on behalf of the winner or even for the beneficiary's heirs.
