Check now the main questions about the device, how it works and its consequences on the lives of those who choose to use it.
1. The delete board as a trend
This device became very famous for its characteristic of leaving the car with a “clean” appearance (clean), and also to look better in photos and videos.
2. Is using the delete plate in the car against the law?
According to Annex I of Resolution number 969 of the National Traffic Council (Contran), it is not against the law to use the delete plate. However, the Vehicle Identification Plate (PIV) system needs to be attached to vehicles at all times.
3. If it's not against the law to use the delete card, why are you still at risk of being fined?
According to article 230 of the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB), “driving a motor vehicle – car, motorcycle, truck – without one or any one of its identification plates characterizes an infraction of a very serious nature, with payment of a fine of 293.47 reais, in addition to the points on the CNH”.
The delete plate is not as firm as the traditional plate, so when going through a pothole or a flood, the plate can end up getting loose from the car without you noticing. With that, without even knowing it, you will break a very serious traffic law, thus getting a fine and points on your license.
