Through the EJA modality, it is possible to complete both Elementary and High School. These are face-to-face classes, from Monday to Friday, or Distance Learning (EAD) of the Brazilian public school network and adopted by some private networks.
To attend the EJA in the fundamental education modality you need to be from 15 years old and to enroll in classes to obtain certification in Secondary Education you need to be over 18 years old. The deadline for completing the course is 2 years for the fundamental and 18 months for the medium.
already the CEEJA It also has the objective of certifying completion of primary and secondary education, but the model allows students over 18 years of age to register for Elementary School classes.
CEEJA targets students over the age of 18, and the program enables flexible presence in classroom, in this way the youth or adult can adapt the study routine, the work routine and other activities. It works like this: registration is done by subject, the student receives didactic material and a study plan prepared by the professors at the beginning of the course.
The material is made for students to study at home, and they can go to the education center to answer questions and receive guidance as many times as you want. The law determines that the student attends at least once a month. This can occur in one of three shifts: morning, afternoon or night. The institutions also offer workshops and lectures and carry out partial and final assessments.
The ENCCEJA is an assessment applied annually by Inep (National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira) to certification of Elementary and Secondary Education. The test is the main way for young people and adults (residents of Brazil and abroad) to complete their studies.
Between the 2009 and 2016 editions of the National High School Examination (Enem), participants could use their grades to obtain a high school completion certificate. As of Enem 2017, this is no longer possible, as the Ministry of Education (MEC) decided that ENCCEJA is more suitable for this purpose.

In the test, the production of a text, writing, in prose of the argumentative-dissertation type, is also requested, based on a social, scientific, cultural or political theme.
Those who pass the ENCCEJA receive a real certificate, issued by bodies authorized by the Ministry of Education (MEC), such as federal institutes and state education departments. The document is used to go to college, take a public tender or take a technical course.
If you participated in the previous edition and did not obtain the necessary grade to pass, you can take the test again to get the High School certificate. It is important to remember that whoever is approved in the ENCCEJA has free registration for the Enem.
After passing the Encceja, the participant must go to the Department of Education or the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology indicated in the act of registration of the test, to achieve certification. It is not Inep's responsibility to issue these documents.
Those who do not achieve the necessary performance to obtain the certificate can still apply, through the same institutions mentioned above, to obtain a partial certificate of completion in the areas of knowledge in which you achieved the grade needed. From this, the candidate can take the exam again or complete the other disciplines in one of the CEEJA units.
