Cobra Kai – Season 4 is available on Netflix. There are ten episodes of intrigue, betrayal, alliances and a lot of fights. And, of course, the whole thing ends in a huge scare - only it doesn't, as Netflix has already renewed Cobra Kai for a fifth season.
But will this be the end of Cobra Kai? Not if series creators and producers Hayden Schlossberg, Jon Hurwitz, and Josh Heald have anything to say about it. In an interview with Collider, they declined to give a definitive number of seasons they expect Cobra Kai to have.

But they said they "always saw the series reaching at least six seasons". They cannot give an answer on how long Cobra Kai will last as they themselves are not sure – and the The show's overall concept changed over time as they explored and introduced different characters.
As Heald said:
“There are characters and storylines that we felt that, from the beginning, we would have said, 'Okay, that's a season,' and that storyline ended up being an episode or two. And then there's the opposite of that where you say, 'Okay, this is one season,' and now we're going to extend that to multiple seasons. That's why we always look back on our original plan with open eyes, because with so many new branches and so many new characters and interactions and what are you seeing during production when, 'Wow, these two people together, there's something interesting about this duo, 'you want to lean more into it and when you lean more it naturally pushes other things forward and out.
Heald, Schlossberg and Hurwitz are currently writing the show's 5th season and are "still figuring out" what they call the "ultimate plan".
It's hard to name Netflix shows that lasted six seasons, much less went beyond that. (House of Cards hit a six and... guess that's it?) Also, just as deftly as Cobra Kai undermined Karate Kid in search of material, at this point they've kind of exhausted the old franchise characters that could turn back.
