Cinderella got tired of being nice! The classic fairy tale will gain a macabre and dark version in the hands of director Louisa Warren, with a lot of death, blood and horrible scenes in the hands of the princess. The project should be called 'The Curse of Cinderella'.
This will be an unconventional retelling of the story of the Cinderella who is made a slave by her stepmother and stepsisters. In a recent statement, the director said that the idea is to make spectators completely uncomfortable in their chairs.

According to the Bloody Disgusting website, which is dedicated to bringing news about horror movies, ‘Cinderella’s Curse’ does not yet have a premiere date, nor promotional photos. However, the feature film already has a date for the start of its recordings and, also, some confirmed names in the cast.
Among them are: Chrissie Wunna (“Dinosaur Hotel”), Kelly Rian Sanson (“She Said”) and, in the role of the murderous princess, Danielle Scott (known for her work on "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" - whose premise of turning a children's story into a horror film is similar).
According to the film's director, this will be an "incredibly unique" version of Cinderella. The character we love and grew up seeing will be there, though… “There will be some truly horrible deaths at her hands,” said Louisa Warren.
As said, there is still no information about the release of the film. Nor is anything known about the main plot of the project.
However, if we are talking about Cinderella, we can hope to see some classic elements of the princess's story, such as the glass slipper, the fairy godmother and the pumpkin that turns into a carriage.
Although most of us know the story of Cinderella from Disney's animation, released in 1950, the original fairy tale it is much older.
Although the best known story is that of Charles Perrault – based on an Italian tale called “La gatta cenerentola” – the oldest version of “Cinderella” dates back to ancient China, around the year 860.
In this version, as well as that of the Brothers Grimm, we have no fairy godmother. Those who help the princess to go to the ball are pigeons and a tree that grows on her mother's grave. Everything runs similar to what we know, but the ending is quite macabre.
To try to fit in the crystal shoes (or glass, or gold, depending on the version of the story), the stepmother forces her daughters to cut off their toes. In addition, the sisters are attacked by pigeons and become blind.
